Job Open: Natural Gas Training Program, Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia

The Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia (“Gas Authority”) is seeking candidates for as many as four positions of Trainer for its newly created Natural Gas Training Program (the “Program”). The Program, which includes general natural gas training, general safety training, and natural gas Operator Qualification training and evaluating, will initially be offered to all Gas Authority Members, and may be offered to non-Members that are subscribers to the Gas Authority’s Subscribed Regulatory Compliance Service (“SRCS”) as well as SRCS Contractor-Subscribers.   

The Trainer will be directly responsible for coordinating and delivering natural gas pipeline safety and related training to a defined group of Gas Authority Members using an online platform for training, evaluating, and recordkeeping.  This position will also assist other Trainers serving other groups of Members that are participating in the Program. 

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent related industry experience, and at least five years of recent, relevant experience in gas distribution operations. An understanding of the pipeline safety code is desirable.  Excellent written and oral communication skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer are required.
