Renée Lani

Renée Lani joined APGA as its Director of Regulatory Affairs in April 2020. In that position, she advocated on behalf of members before regulatory agencies that do not oversee pipeline safety, in addition to staffing the Codes and Standards Committee. In January 2024, Renée became APGA's General Counsel.
 
Prior to joining APGA, Renée was a Manager with the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Chemical Products and Technology Division.  In her role, she managed several self-funded sector groups, focused predominantly on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and pine chemistry, developing and leading their international, federal, and state advocacy efforts.

Renée holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Energy, Business, & Finance, both from the Pennsylvania State University.  Renée also has her Juris Doctor from the Maryland Carey School of Law where she completed certificate programs in both Business and Environmental law.  She is a member in good standing of the Maryland bar and is entitled to practice law in D.C.
