APGA’s PGPC Now Accepting Nominations

The nomination period for APGA's Public Gas Policy Council (PGPC) is now open through December 1! The PGPC is open to all elected and appointed officials (e.g. mayors and city council members) from public gas communities. The primary purposes of the PGPC are to assist APGA in:

  • moving legislation forward that is important to its members,
  • opposing harmful legislation, and
  • providing advice on other legislative related issues of importance.

The PGPC meets annually in Washington, D.C. in conjunction with the APGA Winter Board and Committee Meetings and Legislative Summit. The 2025 meeting is scheduled for January 27-31 in Washington, D.C. During this time, the PGPC will meet with members of Congress as locally elected and appointed public officials have a strong, persuasive, and authoritative voice with their federal elected officials. Having a core group of local officials carry the positive message of public gas systems significantly strengthens APGA’s advocacy efforts.

If you have an elected or appointed official from your community that would be a good advocate for public natural gas, APGA strongly encourages you to submit a nomination for that individual. Please note that if you already have an official serving on the PGPC, there is no need to re-nominate that individual. The nomination form, current PGPC roster, and additional information can be found on the APGA website at www.apga.org/pgpc.  Once nominations are received, appointments to the PGPC will be considered for approval by the APGA Board of Directors.
