On January 22, Sydney Novoa joined APGA as the new Manager of Regulatory Affairs. In this role, she will focus on advancing APGA’s Advocacy Priorities serving as the APGA staff person for the Codes and Standards Committee, the Regulatory Subcommittee, and the Gas Supply Committee. In this role, Sydney N. will be engaging APGA members on advocacy efforts through regularly scheduled conference calls, email communications, APGA member publications, and in-person meetings.
Some of Sydney N.’s responsibilities will include:
• Meeting and engaging with federal regulatory agencies, preparing comments in response to relevant regulatory rulemakings, attending associated meetings and events, and supporting APGA communications staff regarding regulatory matters where appropriate.
• Joining or engaging with end-use codes/standards development bodies, preparing comments in response to code/standard development proposals, challenging (or supporting challenges to) inappropriate final codes/standards, educating members on adoption/implementation of codes/standards, attending associated meetings and events, and supporting the APGA communications staff regarding codes/standards matters where appropriate.
• Leading efforts in planning APGA’s Spring event, the Gas Supply Conference.

Sydney N. attended the University of Georgia and the American University Washington College of Law. She grew up in Florida.
