On January 9, Lindsay Selfridge joined APGA as the new Energy Policy Intern. In this role, she will assist the Vice President of Government Relations, as well as other APGA staff, in advancing association goals. Lindsay will also be working with our association members on advocacy efforts through meetings and other communications, such as our APGA publications.

As a reminder, for 2023, the association’s Advocacy Priorities are listed below:

• Encouraging Effective Reliability and Cybersecurity Policies
• Engaging on Appliance Efficiency Policy
• Preserving the Direct Use of Natural Gas
• Protecting Gas Consumers from Price Volatility in Emergencies
• Supporting Practical Pipeline Safety Regulations

Lindsay will be assessing and communicating the impact of federal regulations, including research or data analysis for APGA’s advocacy staff and members, as well as assisting in the drafting of comments responding to these proposed regulations. Also, she will support any meetings or engagements with federal regulatory agencies. As appropriate, Lindsay will be working with APGA communications staff to share APGA position on regulatory matters.

Lindsay is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Policy degree, with an Environmental Policy Concentration. She previously attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which is also the alma mater of former APGA CEO, Bert Kalisch.

Please reach out to Lindsay to make her feel welcome! You can contact her by phone at 202-464-0834 or by email at lselfridge@apga.org.
