The State of Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury has approved the 2023 APGA Annual Conference, which will be held July 16-19, for nine hours of Utility Commissioner Training Credits as required under Tennessee law.  By way of background, the State of Tennessee passed legislation that requires utility board members to receive 12 hours of training within the first 12 months of their initial election/appointment (or re-election/reappointment) and 12 hours every three years thereafter.  The subjects for training include board governance, financial oversight, policy-making responsibilities, and other topics reasonably related to a board member’s responsibilities.

This year’s Annual Conference will include Brock Long, former FEMA Director, and Didi Caldwell, President and Founding Principal of Global Location Strategies, as well as numerous other speakers addressing a wide range of topics from an overview of natural gas hedging to trends, opportunities, and challenges for public natural gas utilities.

Information on the Annual Conference is available on the APGA website here.
