FINANCIAL PLANNING & RATES ANALYST
Salary Range $67,204.80 - $104,145.60
Anticipated Hiring Range - $67,204.80 - $85,675.20 (commensurate with skills and experience)
Job Duties
The Financial Planning and Rates Analyst assists with preparing the annual budget and long-range financial plan incorporating the revenue and expenditures forecast, 5-year capital plan, and debt financing plan in the Pro-forma financial model; Performs ad-hoc analyses, research, program development, procedure development, and reporting to support business processes and decision-making; Performs functions required to support utility cost-of-service and rate studies; Performs financial analyses and prepare financial & cost-benefit plans for capital projects to support capital improvement planning and debt issuances; Develops and prepares budget and financial plan materials; Develops weather normalized forecasts. Provides guidance and direction to part-time financial analysts; other projects and ad-hoc analyses as assigned.
Ideal candidate would possess utilities and rates experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Over one year of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
SENIOR FINANCIAL PLANNING & RATES ANALYST
Salary Range $84,635.20 - $131,185.60
Anticipated Hiring Range - $84,635.20 - $107,910.40 (commensurate with skills and experience)
Job Duties
The Senior Financial Planning and Rates Analyst performs long-range financial and capital planning, fees and rates analyses, corporate performance reporting and comparative analyses as a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis group; Prepares the organization’s annual long-range financial model and plans, including financial projections (pro-forma) on GAAP and budgetary bases; Collaborates with financial consultants to complete cost-of-service analyses and develop rate designs; Designs, maintains and updates utilities’ rates and revenue models; Analyzes fees and rate designs for making best management practice recommendations; Researches and reports on corporate performance; Provides guidance and direction to financial analysts; other projects and ad-hoc analyses as assigned.
Ideal candidate would possess utilities and rates experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Over seven years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
Normal work schedule is Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position requires on-site presence at our Greenville office location. This is not a remote role.
