Work Description

This position involves analytical, process improvement, and project management work in a variety of technical and functional areas as part of KUB’s Engineering departments. Responsibilities include identifying, documenting, analyzing, designing, implementing, and communicating all aspects of process improvement or project initiatives with various levels of personnel throughout KUB. Tasks include development of dashboards and reports from KUB IT systems, performing data analysis, system testing, making recommendations on IT systems improvement, and training. The position requires participation with other teams, occasionally assuming a leadership role to address specific project goals or objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a technical or business-related discipline
  • Strong PC skills, including experience with Microsoft products (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, MS Project, and Visio), and querying and reporting skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, customer service, communication, and team interaction skills
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and / or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Business, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline from an accredited college or university 
  • Experience working with Smartsheets or other project management software, ESRI GIS, IBM Maximo, Oracle Network Management System, Oracle/Peoplesoft Customer Information System, SQL, BIRT, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SharePoint •
  • Experience with process analysis, technical writing, process improvement methodologies, change management, and/or other process and IT analysis related capabilities
  • Certification as PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Ability to direct the work of others, work effectively in a collaborative/team environment, and effectively manage change initiatives
  • Knowledge and skills in the development and management of business metrics, dashboards, and programs
  • Knowledge of utilities and construction management
