What is the APGA Benchmark Program?

APGA's Benchmark Program is intended to allow public gas systems to view nationwide averages of pipeline safety and operational performance metrics. This program was created to further the goals of continuous improvement and pipeline & operational safety.

In 2026, we are taking steps towards evolving our Benchmark Program. But to make it happen, we need our system members' help.

Our first step is gathering data from as many systems as possible. Your participation directly impacts the accuracy and value of the Benchmark Program for the entire APGA community. Once the data collection period ends, APGA will update our members on its status and vision for the next steps in its development process.

Benchmark Program Data Collection

If you are an APGA system member, please complete the Benchmark Program Collection Form by April 19. The brief survey includes:

  • Fourteen (14) required baseline metrics
  • Nine (9) open‑ended questions designed to capture insights from your system

Submit Data
