DOE Finalizes Consumers Clothes Dryers Rule

On July 10, the Direct Final Rule (DFR) pertaining to the energy conservation standards (ECS) for consumers clothes dryers became effective. In this DFR, the Department of Energy (DOE) is adopting amended standards for consumer clothes dryers.  
 
The comment deadline was July 1, 2024. If significant adverse comments were not received, compliance with the amended standards for consumer clothes dryers in this DFR is required by March 1, 2028. Click here for more information on Consumer Clothes Dryers.
