This week, APGA staff was glad to present to the Rinnai Government Relations team. Rinnai is an APGA Associate Member that manufactures gas-fired water heaters. This presentation allowed for engagement and conversation about all that is happening in Washington, D.C. There were specific discussions on the concerning Department of Energy (DOE) appliance efficiency rulemakings. As well, there was back and forth on the benefits of the direct use of natural gas and how to get this message out to American consumers.

Even though there is good involvement from Rinnai in APGA’s efforts, such as Kevin Morgan serving as the Vice Chair of the Codes and Standards Committee, APGA staff still encouraged additional engagement in advocacy efforts, as 2024 is going to be a busy year.
