APGA Supports Efficient Pipeline Permitting Reforms

By Stuart Saulters posted 05-13-2021 10:05 AM

Over the past few weeks, APGA has been stressing to policymakers the importance of efficient permitting processes for infrastructure construction, including energy pipelines. All this work has been in collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other trade associations.

First, APGA signed on to a letter sent to Brenda Mallory, the Chair of the Council of Environmental Quality (CEQ). This correspondence congratulated Ms. Mallory, who was recently confirmed, and urged her to ensure an efficient environmental review and permitting process for all infrastructure. As a result of this letter, Ms. Mallory will meet with APGA staff and others in the coalition next week. Also, to further educate others on the importance of this issue, APGA participated in a social day of action and posted to social media. To see these posts, click here and here.
