APGA has been holding the Operations Conference's Virtual Highlights and Encore Presentations throughout November 10-19. This event is a four-part webinar series that allowed APGA members to participate in live sessions of highly anticipated topics presented at its in-person counterpart in Memphis this October.

The sessions focused on four core areas of pipeline safety, APGA member best practices, engineering & construction tools and technology, and environmental stewardship. The presentations included: “PHMSA Perspective: Implementing Congressional Mandates & Pipeline Safety In 2021 And Beyond” by Alan Mayberry, Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)'s Associate Administrator of Pipeline Safety; “Steps One APGA Member Is Taking To Protect Their System From Cybersecurity Threats’ by Jackie Crowley, General Manager of Middleborough Gas and Electric Department; “A Practical Way To Make DIMP Work For You” by Jocelyn McInturff, Knoxville Utilities Board; “Operator Qualification: How Expectations Have Evolved” by Tim Franklin, Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia; ‘Regulatory Troubleshooting” by Jeff Hoffman of Emerson; “Member Case Study: Implementing Tracking & Traceability” by Robert Miller, City of Monroe, N.C., and Christophe Farnault, Patrick Engineering; “Emission Mitigation Technologies: A Crash Course” by Nick Pero, Artera; and, “Gas Venting Research” by Simon Daniels & Justin Sheppard, Rosen USA, Inc.

APGA would like to thank all its presenters for allowing attendees the opportunity to take part in these educational sessions if they were unable to travel to Memphis or wanted a second chance to delve deep into these topics.
