APGA Discusses Regulatory Issues with IMGA

On March 29, APGA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs, Renée Lani, presented at the Interstate Municipal Gas Agency (IMGA) Annual Meeting in Springfield, IL. Renée’s presentation focused on what has happened in response to Winter Storm Uri, as well as the February futures market squeeze, but also covered the many other federal regulatory changes recently enacted or currently underway that impact the natural gas industry.

IMGA’s Annual Meeting is an opportunity for their members, which include municipal gas systems in Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa, to gather to discuss business of the Agency and stay on top of relevant topics. Other presentations included updates from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) on its rulemakings and new grant program for community-owned natural gas systems, as well as a discussion on gas pre-pays from BP Energy.
