APGA Celebrates Building Safety Month

By Renée Lani posted 05-06-2021 12:19 PM

Every May, the International Code Council and its members, including APGA, celebrate Building Safety Month, which is an international campaign to help raise awareness about building safety. The campaign is a great opportunity to help communities better understand the role that codes, including those governing the installation and use of gas appliances, play in ensuring safe and resilient structures. This year’s theme is “Prevent, Prepare, Protect. Building Codes Save.”

APGA members are integral to maintaining building safety in their communities and rely on modern codes, such as the International Fuel Gas Code, to ensure safe and reliable natural gas connections in homes and businesses. This ensures continued access to affordable and clean energy.

Follow APGA on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook for building safety-related posts all month long. If your system or organization is active on social media, we encourage you to share your own experiences of how building safety is important or impacts your community and work.
