GTI Energy has publicly released the open-source Veritas methane emission and verification protocols to the natural gas industry. Over the past couple of years, stakeholders came together to develop a transparent, science-based, methane measurement process that allows the natural gas supply chain to report methane emission reductions in a consistent and verifiable way. These protocols are available for everyone to download and use. The protocols encompass six segments of the natural gas supply chain, including distribution, and can be found here. Additional updates will be available later in 2023. Updates will continue to be incorporated into the protocols based on user experience and input. Feedback is important, so please contact GTI Energy with any questions or comments. The Veritas homepage can be found here veritas.gti.energy.View additional webinar, video and white paper resources relating to the Veritas program and the GTI Energy Center for Methane Research (CMR). The APGA Research Foundation works closely with GTI Energy promoting the research, development, and commercialization of projects and products that improve safety and efficiency for customers and the employees that serve them.
