Owatonna Public Utilities (OPU) provides electricity, water and natural gas to the Owatonna, Minnesota community and is seeking an experienced, visionary leader to serve as our next General Manager/CEO. The General Manager/CEO reports to an appointed board of commissioners and is responsible for executing all board policies and directives. Candidates must have experience in utility industry operations, organizational management, strategic planning, and financial management. Candidates should also possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills and a genuine commitment to customer service. Experience in employee engagement and marketing is also valued, and knowledge of engineering principles is a plus. A bachelor's degree in public administration, business, engineering, finance, or an equivalent field is required; a Master of Business Administration is preferred. Five to ten years of senior-level management experience at a municipal public utility serving more than one commodity is strongly preferred. The salary range is $180,600 to $225,750.
