Dura-line plastic pipe customers should be aware of a letter that was disseminated to customers. They are pausing the shipping and sale of small (1.5-inch diameter or smaller) natural gas distribution polyethylene pipe as they “look into why some pipe sections had inconsistent wall thickness, potentially affecting the expected useful life of 50 years.” While they are unable to estimate how long this pause will last, they will share updates as available. This pause does not impact production and sales of all other Dura-line pipe including large diameter natural gas distribution pipe and all conduit products.
