Federal agencies are required to formally renew any Information Collection Requests (ICR) associated with their programs. In comments submitted on March 18, APGA supported the continuation of ICRs associated with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Gold STAR Program and Methane Challenge.

APGA emphasized that members are committed to continuously improving practices and maintaining their infrastructure to minimize greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas distribution systems. Voluntary programs like EPA Gold STAR and Methane Challenge are important tools for natural gas distribution utilities looking to enhance operations and minimize greenhouse gas emissions. The Challenge Commitments within the Methane Challenge Program provide tangible actions with measurable achievements for operators.
