Senate Confirms Willie Phillips, Seating Full Commission

On November 16, the Senate voted unanimously to confirm Willie Phillips as the newest member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Phillips’ confirmation will restore FERC to its full five members, with a Democratic majority of three seats.

APGA recently signed a letter from industry urging swift confirmation and emphasizing that FERC functions best with a full complement of commissioners, so we were pleased to see the Senate take action. We look forward to working with Commissioner Phillips during his tenure at FERC.
