I am pleased to be your new Chairman of the Board of Directors! For those that I have not met, my name is Alonzo Weaver and I am the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Memphis Light, Gas & Water in Tennessee.
I would first like to thank John Leary for agreeing to extend his time as APGA Chairman while I recovered from surgery. Those extra months of leadership by him have been great for the organization and have allowed me the opportunity to focus on my health. We are all grateful to you, John.
I consider it an honor to now lead you all as your APGA Chairman and look forward to my tenure in leading this great organization. Working with each and every one of our members is inspiring and educational. The work you do is vital and important. I will be leaning on many of you as we communicate the value of natural gas and its importance in our energy future.
I look forward to any feedback or comments you have for me as the 2021-2022 Chairman of the APGA Board of Directors.
