Membership Pricing

Members

  • You are eligible for APGA Public Gas Membership if your organization provides natural gas distribution services, and if your natural gas distribution system is operated by a publicly- or community-owned that is over 500 meters.  2010 Membership dues are calculated at 62¢ per meter1 with a minimum dues are $310 and maximum dues are $28, 318.5 (based on 45, 679 meters2).   • You are eligible for APGA Small System Public Gas Membership with 500 meters or less that provides natural gas distribution services, and if your natural gas distribution system is operated by a publicly- or community-owned are automatically considered members, asked to pay a flat rate of $310, and dropped as APGA members upon request.   • You are eligible for an Associate Membership if your organization provides products and/or services for publicly owned natural gas distribution systems. Dues are a flat rate of $525. Click here to become an Associate Member.
  • You are eligible for APGA Affiliate Membership if your organization is affiliated with the natural gas or energy industry, and if your organization is a national or state association.  Affiliate Members pay no dues.   • Dues invoices to cover the 2010 calendar year will be sent in September 2009.

Prorating of Dues

  • New members who join during the year may have its initial dues prorated on the following schedule:
  • Membership Effective Date of Prorated Level:

January 1 – March 31 62¢ per meter

April 1 – June 30 46¢ per meter

July 1 – September 30 31¢ per meter

October 1 – December 31 62¢ per meter (for 2010)

  • The maximum and minimum dues may be similarly prorated.

Complimentary Trial Membership

  • The Membership Committee may recommend, and the President may approve, a trial membership of up to three months to afford a potential member the opportunity to receive Public Gas News, have access to the website, and other APGA services.

Discount Dues for Affiliate & Agency Members

  • APGA will bill an association or agency (see policy below) the total dues amount for allof its APGA members. The entity may, in turn, bill these members for theirproportionate APGA dues.
  • These Affiliate- or Agency-coordinated members receive a 5% discount on their duesrate (~3¢ per meter).

Agency Member Dues Policy

  • If 100% of an agency’s members are also members of APGA, the agency is notrequired to pay dues.
  • If less than 100% of an agency’s members are APGA members, the agency is requiredto pay APGA annual dues.

1 This per meter dues level is a 5¢/meter increase over 2008. APGA dues will remain level at 62¢/meter in both 2010 and 2011. (Dues increases in each of the prior five years were 2¢/meter).
2 In 2009, maximum dues were based on 45,000 meters. Meter counts in succeeding years will increase by 1.5%.  2010 maximum dues will be $28, 318.50 for systems over 45, 679 meters.
