On Monday, September 18, APGA sent a letter (attached) to the Chairman, Senator Murkowski (R-AK) and Ranking Member, Senator Cantwell (D-WA) of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee in support of the President’s nominations of Kevin McIntyre, an energy lawyer at Jones Day, to serve as Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Richard Glick, Minority Counsel for the Senate Energy Committee, to serve as a Commissioner.

The Committee held a confirmation hearing on the nominees on September 7th and a full committee vote is scheduled for Tuesday the 19th. It is anticipated that both nominees will be approved and the next step will be consideration by the full Senate. If confirmed, Mr. McIntyre’s term would expire on June 30, 2023 and Mr. Glick’s term would expire on June 30, 2022.
