Fred Crabtree

Fred CrabtreeFred Crabtree has decades of experience in the natural gas industry where he served in numerous positions at the APGA and in other organizations as well. Those positions include: the chairman of the Municipal Gas Authority of Florida, chairman of the legislative committee for the Florida Natural Gas Association, the chairman of the board for Lake Apopka Natural Gas District where he eventually served as their CEO. Fred now works at Southern Cathodic Protection Company.

He has also earned several APGA awards including the APGA Special Recognition Award, the Personal Achievement Award and the Distinguished Service Award.  The Florida Natural Gas Association also awarded Mr. Crabtree the W.J. Smith Award. 

He has been involved in numerous civic organizations in Florida including, the West Orange Youth Center, a West Orange Scholarship Foundation board member, City of Winter Garden City Council, Planning and Zoning board member and Redistricting Committee in addition to being a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Winter Gardens. 

Currently, Mr. Crabtree is retired and living happily in Florida where he runs Bob Kerr’s Marine Tool Company, a family business, with his wife Susan.  He enjoys golf, home improvement, college sport especially University of Florida football games.
