Ben Andrews is a Past Chairman of the American Public Gas Association and General Manager of the Oak Ridge Utility District. He began his public career as the elected mayor of his hometown, Spring Hill, Tennessee, served as a City Manager and has managed three gas systems over 20 years. He is active in National and State legislative matters and serves as a member of the Federal advisory committee on pipeline safety (Technical Pipeline Safety Standards Committee).
He is a member of the American Public Gas Association, the Tennessee Gas Association and the American Gas Association. He is also very active in the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce and is a Rotarian. The most successful thing he has done is to convince Gayle to marry him 34 years ago. They have four grown children.
