Richard (Rich) Worsinger

Rich is the Director of Utilities for the City of Rocky Mount, NC where he is responsible for the City’s electric and natural gas utilities. The City has approximately 30,000 electric and 19,000 natural gas customers. Rich has been with the City since January 2001.

Before coming to Rocky Mount, Rich spent most of his career employed by Public Service Electric and Gas Company in New Jersey. Public Service Electric and Gas is an investor owned electric and gas utility serving over 2 million customers in New Jersey. During this time Rich held various engineering and management positions in both the electric and gas departments.

Rich was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, has Bachelor of Science in Electric Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in NC.

Rich has been married to his wife Nancy for over 22 years and they have a son Chris and daughter Libby both who are attending college.
