Alan Winter

I have worked in the energy business all my professional life. I have been in natural gas business since 1983 working for Southern California Gas and since 2000 as the Manager for Engineering and Construction for the Gas Department in the City of Long Beach.

My previous experience was in the electrical generating business primarily in the design and construction of nuclear power plants. I spent four years working in the food industry (brewing) as the engineer responsible for utilities and plant operations.

I have two registrations as a professional engineer in California, one in mechanical and the other in nuclear engineering. I also have a Bachelors in mechanical engineering and a Masters in operations research.

I am married with two children and two grandchildren.
