Nate Hill joined the American Public Gas Association (APGA) in April 2008 to serve as Director of Government Affairs, where he will monitor, coordinate and implement the association's legislative and advocacy efforts. Before joining APGA, Nate worked for three years in the office of U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan from North Dakota. He served as both the Senator's director of economic development in the state and legislative policy advisor on energy, water, environment and natural resources in Washington, D.C. Nate spent much of his time in the Senate working on energy policy issues including oil and gas supply, market transparency and speculation, efficiency, biofuels, coal, renewables, and climate change.

Nate grew up in North Dakota and attended the University of Mary in Bismarck where he earned an undergraduate degree in business and communications. He currently lives on Capitol Hill and enjoys the outdoors, travel, politics and playing sports in his spare time, and is also a certified professional tennis instructor.
