Kristin Gomez is an experienced professional with trade association and public relations credentials. Before joining the APGA team, Kristin was an account executive at Levick Strategic Communications, a leading crisis communications firm located in Washington, DC. There she handled media relations, media training, crafting communication and media strategies for high-profile clients, maintained relationships with reporters and managed numerous accounts. She has successfully secured placements in national print, radio and broadcast outlets in addition to academic, legal, tech and energy trade publications.

Before Levick, Kristin was a communications specialist for the DC Chamber of Commerce. There she developed key messages for the Chamber and its CEO and President, that included speeches, op-eds and articles for the Washington Post, Washington Business and other local publications. She also promoted Chamber events through advertising buys, a bi-weekly newsletter and a redesigned website she developed while at the Chamber.

During her time at the Chamber, Ms. Gomez handled media relations and interview preparation for the Chamber's CEO and President. In addition to her duties, Kristin was a consultant of Chamber Connections, a local cable talk show where she wrote scripts, media trained, interviewed and booked guests.

Before working for the Chamber, Kristin was a legislative assistant and registered lobbyist for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). There she analyzed and tracked interior design-related legislative developments, draft analyses and updated state coalitions and grassroots organizations of new legislative efforts. She wrote articles for ACCESS (ASID publication for students) and ASID ICON, the Society's quarterly magazine publication, on issues regarding ethical professional standards, Internet strategies, and coalition building. She also developed the first ever blogging strategy for the Society to promote their national conference.

Ms. Gomez was a legislative intern for the top lobbying firm Cassidy & Associates and an intern for the former Senator Robert Torricelli. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a BA in Speech communication.
