Jeff English

Jeff English is CEO and General Manager of Grey Forest Utilities serving the Northwest metropolitan area of San Antonio, TX.

Jeff English started his career in the Public gas industry in 1982 as City Manager for the City of Wrens, Georgia, remaining in that capacity for more than 12 years. From 1995 through 1998 he was Senior VP for Sales and Marketing at C.C. Pace Resources. From 1998 through 2002 he worked with PEPCO (Potomac Electric Power Company) as president of its natural gas marketing company based in Washington, D.C. In 2003, he returned to his first love, public gas and gas distribution, as General Manager of Grey Forest Utilities. Grey Forest supplies more than 9,000 residential, commercial, and industrial consumers.

Jeff has been a active member of APGA for almost 25 years. During his years in APGA, he has served as Chairman of every standing APGA committee was a founding member of the insurance group and is a Past President of the association. He remembers his tenure as President of APGA as a busy year coming on the heels of implementation of FERC Order 636. APGA was very active both with FERC and with other industry associations including NGSA and INGAA at assuring the reliability of natural gas services. Jeff is a recipient of the APGA Personal Achievement Award.

Jeff and his wife Barbara are the proud parents of five children ranging from two very athletic 13 year-olds, a 17 year-old, a 19 year-old and a 21 year-old.

With three kids currently in college and two headed in that direction it is relatively sure that Jeff will remain actively involved in the municipal gas industry and APGA, for many years to come.

For hobbies, Jeff is an experienced competition enduro motorcycle rider. He enjoys a round of golf. And, with a partner in England, he actively provides custom restoration services for World War Two-era military equipment and is a well known appraiser of world war two jeeps and related war era vehicles for collectors and museums around the world. Several of his jeeps are located in museums in the US, UK, Germany and Belgium.
