Director, Membership & Finance

Sheila Deringis

Sheila currently serves as the Director, Membership & Finance for APGA from her home in Maine.  She also handles the planning and execution of the APGA meetings.  Previously, she served as the full-time Business & Membership Manager for APGA from October 1996 until June 2005. In this role, Sheila handled all accounting functions for APGA, the APGA Insurance Group and the APGA Research Foundation. She was also responsible for the planning and execution of all APGA meetings and conferences, as well as serving as staff liaison for the membership, associates, annual conference, awards and communications committees.

Prior to joining APGA, Sheila resided in Maine where she worked as client services manager for a Portland-based human resources consulting firm serving northern New England. She also worked in the banking industry for several years, as well as for L.L. Bean in Maine.

Sheila graduated from the University of Maine in 1987 with a degree in Psychology. In June 2005, she felt the call to be closer to her family and moved back to Maine where she and her husband built a home in the Sebago Lakes Region.
