George Bronson

George Bronson is the Director of the Gas and Wastewater Utilities in Winfield, Kansas. Winfield is the largest municipal gas system in the state with approximately 5500 customers. George has been with the Winfield Gas Department for 16 years. He has been in the gas industry for 29 years, 18 of which have been with municipal gas systems. Prior to Winfield, he was with the Colorado Springs Gas Utility, and before that he was employed with Colorado Interstate Gas Company. He has also been a consultant for a major company involved in oil and gas litigation.

George has been on the APGA Board of Directors for six years, and has served as chairman on various committees. He is also a member of the Kansas Municipal Utilities (KMU), and is chair of their Gas Training Committee. George received the KMU Edgar P. Showalter Award in 2003 for his meritorious service to that association. He also received the APGA Personal Achievement Award at the Annual Conference in 2006. George was the 1st place winner of the APGA photo contest in 2006 in Seattle.

George and his wife Leo have been married for over 29 years, and their daughter Lena is married to Ryan Hayden. They reside in Topeka, KS.
