Tommy Bible

Tommy became the General Manager of Jefferson-Cocke County Gas Utility District in 1992. The Utility District serves natural and propane gas to the Jefferson and Cocke County areas of Tennessee. Prior to joining the Utility, he worked 14 years for Newport Utilities Board as Administrative Manager. He is a Past President of the Tennessee Gas Association and of the United Small Customer Group and currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the United Utilities gas purchasing group.

Tommy is Chairman of the Board for the Newport-Cocke County Economic Development Commission, Board of Directors for Newport Federal Bank, Board of Directors for the Jefferson County Industrial Board, and Board of Directors for the Newport-Cocke County Partnership.

Tommy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He and his wife, Linda, have a son, McKinley and a daughter, Jill. Linda teaches Kindergarten at Eastside Elementary School in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Tommy and his family are members of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
